Which Should You Have: Picnic Or Barbecue?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Are you considering holding a party in the near future, but are not sure whether to have a picnic in the park or a barbecue party at home? People do enjoy both kinds of party, although some may have a first choice. One of the big differences between a picnic and a barbecue is often the food.

After all, you are usually allowed to have a barbecue and cook food in your own backyard, but there may be restrictions on cooking food on an open fire in a park or picnic site for fire safety purposes, so most people take pre-cooked meats and sandwiches.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both kinds of party, but we will begin by looking at the food aspect, as most parties centre around food. An advantage of having a picnic is that you will be able to join in with your fellow picnickers more, because you will have already cooked the chicken wings and legs and made the sandwiches the night before.

You will have tins of sausage rolls and small cakes and all you will have to do is lay them out for people to help themselves. If you run out of sandwiches, people can do their own with the sliced bread that you will have brought just in case.

Suspending The Chandeliers Easily

Lighting fixtures have this uncanny ability to make even the average structures stand out. If one wants to spruce up their dining and living room’s appearance drastically, one can actually op for an aesthetically designed Chandelier. Chandeliers can instantly add a great dose of sparkle and glamor in any house or building.

Here, we’ll tell how to replace a dining-room pendant light with a stylish new chandelier. Hanging a chandelier means, you will have to work with electricity. So, before making any installations and replacements, go to the electrical panel and trip the circuit breaker. Make sure, the power is completely turned off. If you are replacing the chandelier with the old light fixture, unscrew the fixture’s canopy to access the electrical box.

The metal electrical box should be detached from the metal hanger bar. Just unscrew the screws using a screw driver. If it’s a metal box, loosen the screws on the cable connector, and slide out the cable. Adjust the fan brace on the top of the ceiling. First hand- tighten it. When you can’t hand-tighten the brace any more, use an adjustable wrench for another few turns to fully embed the prongs in the joists.
