My husband and I recently purchased a very run down, Victorian style house. It’s previous owners had altered the internal design of the house, several times over. Sliding. The sliding closet door is considered as a modern design. It is true that it saves floor space, but since one is built on the top of the other, only on side can be opened at a time.

For starters, you need to make sure that the make is similar to its surrounding. If you have an earthy design to your room, then you better make use of wooden closet doors to accentuate the theme.
