You are more than likely well aware of the many benefits linked to owning your own hot tub. A home spa can provide hours of fun and relaxation for you, your family and all of your friends. Its a fantastic way to reduce stress through daily relaxation. However, you should also know that proper maintenance of your hot tub not only keeps the device working for a long time but can also reduce health risks. Contaminants such as mold can cause damage to your health if the unit is not properly maintained. Follow the specific instructions from the hot tubs manufacturer in order to keep up with proper maintenance.
To keep your spa clean, make sure you drain it and clean it thoroughly once every three or four months. If you follow these steps, you should be able to keep your hot tub going for years to come:
To begin, locate the drain plug towards the bottom of the unit. Attach a hose and then drain the tub water into a storm drain or your lawn. If this takes too long, you can also purchase an inexpensive pump from a hardware store to speed up the process.

The backyard fish pond has always been ascetically pleasing to the eye. The sight of water is both relaxing and peaceful.
Want to build your own fish pond? Here are a few things to consider.
Picking a Spot
Although most people think of having a pond in the exact center of their yards, this doesn’t have to be the case. A lot of people locate them in corners, especially if they don’t have big backyards.
Fish
There are different types of fish that are suitable for backyard ponds. Most people think of the Japanese koi when they think of ponds, but ordinary goldfish will also be suitable.
The most important things to think about when choosing fish are lifespan and living space. The koi are big fish and need lots of space. If the pond is too little, they may not live long. And since they are expensive fish, you won’t get a very good return on your investment.
Goldfish are much less expensive and require less space. But anyone who has gotten a goldfish at a neighborhood fair knows that they don’t always live long.

You know those tools you seldom use but you can’t bare to get rid of? Wooden sheds are a great place for storing them, but they can be used for SO MUCH MORE than just storage. They can also be made (or adapted) for several different purposes.
Using a shed for the garden is perhaps the most popular reason to have a shed. Its quite a convenient place for storing your garden tools and supplies so the natural location for a shed is right next to the garden. Plus, potting your plants is a snap with a proper workbench in your shed. Many of the garden sheds built today connect us to a simpler past just with their charm and character.
You can use sheds for other reasons also. For instance, a shed next to a pool actually serves the purpose of a pool cabana. Pool chemicals that really should be stored away from the house are better placed in the cabana. You can also use the cabana for housing a refrigerator for cold snacks, towels, pool toys, and other supplies. Storing towels and dry clothes also helps keep the kids from running into the house all wet.

Designing a landscape for the Denver/Boulder area involves specialconsiderations not found in most other areas. In the words of Tom Altgelt, a premier landscape architect on the Front Range of Colorado, “Every region for which I have designed landscapes has its own unique character, with special challenges, opportunities, and needs. In the Denver/Boulder front range area of Colorado, the biggest challenge is the climate.” We have to deal with winter weather, interspersed with mild days, for almost half the year.
Since we have such long winters, it is truly important for a garden to be designed with year-round beauty and interest. Unfortunately, most gardens are designed to be beautiful just in the spring and summer, but the very best landscape designs will be beautiful in the fall and winter, too. Altgelt remarks, “This winter interest that is so important here comes about in three ways.”
For Tom Altgelt, the first step is to sculpt the shapes and forms of the earth. “Ideally, the bare landscape will feel as though it has been sculpted by wind and water. We want the energetics of this sculpture to have a pleasing and dynamic flow and movement, so the eye will perceive forms that are beautiful, animated, moving, uplifting as it is animating us.” By artistically forming the bare land and rock formations, a beauty can emerge that will last through the seasons.

Wind chimes make the perfect gift for anyone you love. There is nothing quite like laying in bed on a cool evening listening the sound of the wind chimes playing outside. As their musical motif runs through the house you can easily find yourself lulled into a comfortable sleep.
There is a lot offered by the sound of wind chimes blowing in the wind. Once you’ve had them there is a need to always have them around. There is a sense of peaceful comfort in the chiming music that just can’t be matched by anything else. The sound is so powerful that the victims of trauma can often be settled and comforted enough to get a few hours of sleep thanks to the music provided by the chimes and the wind.
These are not just night time comforts. During the day their sound is just as beautiful and inviting. Whether you’re trying to settle a cranky child for a nap or you are in need of a pleasant noise to distract you from stress, these are the sounds that typically work well. The brilliance of their music is something that almost all of us can appreciate. When you move, go through tough times, or have financial difficulties, the simple sound of the chimes can be very comforting.

Have you ever looked for outside patio furniture covers? It’s not as easy as it sounds. Every time my kids want to eat outside I feel like I need to wash down our patio table as it generally covered with squirrel prints and bird poop. I just wasn’t comfortable with my family eating off the table before I had a chance to give it a scrub in some soapy water.
The other reason I wanted patio furniture covers is that the sun and the rain and the snow can really damaged the finish on my wooden furniture. I have some lovely furniture that looks teak but isn’t teak. I got a great deal on it at Canadian Tire a few years ago. It has really held up well and I’m pleased with it. However, it can show some age.
Almost every autumn I have a fall clean up ritual that involves the whole family. I lightly sand the table and chairs, re-apply a teak or walnut stain and then rub some furniture oil into the wood. The patio furniture really looks fresh and nice when I’m finished. Undoubtedly, this little effort has saved me money by adding years to the life of my furniture. I don’t really mind the job and enjoy the fact that it has become a family tradition. However, having some new outdoor patio furniture covers might allow me the time to do other fall clean up jobs.

It is never a bad idea to clean and freshen up your pond every couple of months. It often occurs that ponds and watercourses get clogged up with organic matter. No matter what the size of your water feature you can get a clean pond naturally using Bioverse products. Bioverse have been involved with treating water for more than ten years and have thousands of satisfied customers.
Environmental problems and concerns are now a common topic of conversation. We are all aware of ways we can do our bit to protect the environment. It is still common to find people using copper sulphate to remove or control algae. Now there is no longer any need to use such a potentially harmful chemical. There are natural products available that do not cause any damage.
If you need to clean a natural water body then by choosing a Bioverse product you will know that you will not affect the ecosystem. Transitional and wetland plants are not going to have any form of cell damage and the water will be more healthy.

One of the best ways to clean pond algae and maintain algae control naturally is by investigating some of the natural products that work the the pond’s ecosystem. When a cleaning element can naturally enhance the pond’s water quality without offering the difficulties of a chemically based cleaning agent, you can see and even smell the difference.
In order to develop algae control naturally and create a clean pond you want a product that can break down the organic material of algae sludge. For most green organic material, this doesn’t have to be a harsh chemical process. An alga is created in standing water because the water lacks oxygenation and filtration. Algae aren’t eradicated through harsh treatments in nature.
Your pond hosts more companions than you know. You have developed a mini ecosystem, and its impact can be felt throughout the surrounding ecosystem.
Treating your pond with anything other than a natural algae cleaner seems rather counterintuitive considering that you need two basic elements to make it go away.

1. How To Pick the Best Location for Your Shed
Placement of your wooden sheds should have careful consideration. You will need to have plenty of space around your shed so you will be able to build it and have room for the door to freely swing open. Your wooden shed shouldn’t look like it was just dropped in place. It should actually blend into its surroundings. The intended purpose of your wooden shed is going to determine where it will be located. For instance, if you are using it for your garden equipment and supplies, then you should locate it near the garden. Also, watch for places (like under a tree) that will most likely have bird droppings and debris falling onto your shed.
2. How To Chose Plans
Look for a comprehensive set of plans. They should contain step-by-step instructions with lots of details since you won’t be able to simply ask for help. There should also be photos of the shed in progress as its being built. Exploded diagrams are also very helpful. Good plans will also have a complete materials list.
3. How To Decide if You Should Buy a Shed Kit

There are quite a few considerations to keep in mind if you are trying to decide between plastic, metal or wooden sheds. With the exception of cost, let’s look at three basic categories.
Durability
Although they are both durable and reliable, plastic and metal sheds do have their weaknesses. In warmer climates, metal sheds can get blistering hot. And, plastic (or vinyl) can be damaged over time if exposed to extreme heat. If wood is treated, wooden sheds can last for years even if overexposed to heat and sunlight. A real plus for all three types of materials is that they can all be painted to add protection.
Imagine how unsightly your shed would look with a few good sized dents in it. This is exactly what can happen to your shed if it is made from metal. Wooden sheds, on the other hand, are pretty easy to repair if they are nicked by filling in the hole with wood filler and simply painting or staining over it. Wooden sheds can also handle extreme weather conditions quite nicely since they are framed very much the same way that houses are.
Flexibility
