How To Fix A Blender ?
In every modern kitchen, we do find an electric blender because this gadget performs so many such functions in the kitchen that it makes the work of a housewife quite easy and in a short time with less labor. So it is a favorite of any housewife.
But, like any other thing, blenders also demand for frequent maintenance and are subject to wear and tear with time. There are some common juicer and blender problems, and learning to avoid or fix them will help elongate the life for your juicer or blender.
Suddenly, if the blender break off and comes to an end, ensure the availability of electricity to the blender. May be the power outlet has gone bad. Test the appliance by plugging it into different outlet.
Next, test your blender by first unplugging it from the power supply. Even the red emergency shut- off switched should also be turned off, before starting with the repair process. Here, you need to inspect the switch first. Make use of volt- ohm meter for that. Set the scale to RX1. Clip the testing leads to switches provided on the front panel of the appliance. If you get an infinity reading, your switch is bad.
Often the situation is faced when motor is running but the blades have come to stand. For this, loose coupling or the drive stud located beneath the blender is to be blame. All you need is to screw the loose stud. For the totally gone washer or stud, replace it with the new one.
When the blade assembly fails to rotate and the drive-stud is found to be alright, the socket which fits the drive stud has gone bad and needs replacement.
If the blender fails and doesn’t work at all, may be the motor is faulty. Check for the power supply, cord and the electrical outlet. Finding all in place, get the appliance repaired from some qualified electrician.
A blown fuse can also be a problem; well in that case you have to replace the fuse. This article highlights only the fewer problems associated with the blender. However, there are many other problems that can bring that appliance to halt.
