“Following to the latest trend can make your new bathroom become old faster than you’dl like” says Katie Soucek, interior designer at Capitol Ceramics Tiles. The pace of modern life means that trends pass faster, so if you want to ensure that your bathroom has a timeless quality it may pay to opt for classic style over current fashions.
“For example, bathrooms with borders and trims are now starting to look very old.” Soucek claims, so by choosing a border or trim for your new bathroom design, it could look out of date as soon as it’s finished.
And it may seem obvious but a fresh lick of paint – even if it is touching up your existing colour – can work wonders. According to interior stylist, Jane Molloy, nude shades ooze style and sophistication, whilst translucent colours work in the majority of colour schemes.
Light colours can give the room a feeling of extra space and is great for small bathrooms. Alternatively, deeper and moody colours offer a romatanic atmosphere and real ‘wow’ factor. “Choosing the same tiles to sit on the walls and floor immediately makes the bathroom look modern and bigger” adds Katie Soucek from Capitol Ceramics.

When you have chosen to use Moroccan furniture for decorating your house, the first item you need is to buy lighting fixtures. Moroccan lamps can be used both inside and out for galleries and lobbies. The Light provides a mysterious feeling to the guests, while at the same time they will make them feel welcome and included. I am sure you can recall when you last visited a friend of yours who had a Moroccan lamp at the entrance of their door and you loved it.
All the art work on the furniture is well defined and stands out. Morocco is known for its broadmindedness to diversity and inclusion of other societies. When redecorating a home or a bath, Moroccan tiles often add the splash needed to complete your decorating ideas. While you will find that there are many types of tiles, some will be more appropriate for you use than others. In any case, the tiles you choose will add a rich depth to the room.
Your first decision is the type of tile you should use. Moroccan tile can be either glazed or unglazed. The glazed tiles are water repellent, but unglazed ones absorb the water. Your application will decide what is the best choice for you. Either type of tile is heat resistant.
Unglazed tiles are available in many shades of browns that range from almost white to almost orange. Glazed tiles are often decorated by hand painting before the glaze is baked onto the tiles. Glazed tiles may work together to cover large surfaces, worked into a pattern with solid colored tiles or used as a border for the plain tiles. Try adding wainscoting using the border tiles in your home.

Whether you redecorate or decorate your home for the first time, starting off with the bathroom is not only wise, but also necessary. Because the actual room is not that big, you can slowly let your creativity take hold when you are ready to choose bathroom furniture.
Can you remember how dull and dreary your grandparents or even great grandparents’ bathrooms looked like. This was only because they used their bathrooms for functionality. Aesthetics didn’t play a huge role in those days, purely because industry had not yet become creative enough. There just wasn’t enough demand.
Once plumbing moved into our homes, things started looking much better for the old bathroom. When material like porcelain become abundant, the manufacturers of bathroom furniture finally realized that they can be much more creative with color and shapes.
With time, our bathrooms became bigger and fuller. Now we have a myriad of things to choose from; like beautifully crafted vanities, basins and bath tubs. With these new features, there also sprouted bidets, urinals and functional showers. Needless to say, with each piece of furniture there was also an accompanied set of accessories.

The humble bathroom. Or is it? Not anymore – if you just walk into a bathroom store nowadays your senses will be over stimulated with all the variety on hand. It’s, basins and bath tubs, vanities and showers – not to mention all the accessories one would use to complement your bathroom furniture.
Cast your mind back to the good old days, when a bathroom was just a place to “go” to and nothing more. Bathrooms were dull and dreary with mainly white to work with. Furniture was sparse and was only there for it’s immediate function. Not much creativity was parted with when it came to designing bathrooms in those days.
When the industrial revolution took hold of us, when things like plumbing and especially porcelain came to the forefront, things started happening for the humble bathroom. We were now challenged with making our bathrooms more aesthetically pleasing and accessorizing became an art form.
Furniture for our bathrooms increased and things like vanities with their basins, bath tubs, toilets, bidets, urinals and of course the shower had now become a necessity. With each piece of furniture, a set of accessories is also provided to compliment it.

It is best to have your bathroom vanity coordinate with the fixtures, for instance if you have a contemporary streamlined fixtures, a modern vanity would look best but if you have an antique claw foot tub and other antique accents, consider a complementing antique vanity. It’s easy to go shopping online these days and bathroom sinks are certainly no exception. In fact you can buy your whole bathroom online. But why would you buy online rather than going to your local bathroom showroom or DIY discount center?
1. Massive Choice
You will be amazed at the selection of bathroom sinks available online compared to the few you will be able to purchase at your local bathroom store or DIY warehouse. Local stores do not have room to stock many bathroom sinks and sometimes you have to resort to ordering from a brochure because the choice on display is so limited. Decide to shop online however and the chances are high that you will be able to find something special and unique that is exactly right for your needs.
2. Better Deals
You will find very keen prices at many stores online. They can afford to sell for less because they have fewer overheads than conventional businesses. Plus the online stores know they need to provide great prices so that you don’t click away to buy elsewhere – you can shop around with very little hassle and they know it. When you are looking around and comparing prices be sure to compare similar sinks rather than just looking for particular names unless you have a particular brand and model in mind.
