Top Tips For Revitalising Your Tried Looking Bathroom
Friday, May 21st, 2010“Following to the latest trend can make your new bathroom become old faster than you’dl like” says Katie Soucek, interior designer at Capitol Ceramics Tiles. The pace of modern life means that trends pass faster, so if you want to ensure that your bathroom has a timeless quality it may pay to opt for classic style over current fashions.
“For example, bathrooms with borders and trims are now starting to look very old.” Soucek claims, so by choosing a border or trim for your new bathroom design, it could look out of date as soon as it’s finished.
And it may seem obvious but a fresh lick of paint – even if it is touching up your existing colour – can work wonders. According to interior stylist, Jane Molloy, nude shades ooze style and sophistication, whilst translucent colours work in the majority of colour schemes.
Light colours can give the room a feeling of extra space and is great for small bathrooms. Alternatively, deeper and moody colours offer a romatanic atmosphere and real ‘wow’ factor. “Choosing the same tiles to sit on the walls and floor immediately makes the bathroom look modern and bigger” adds Katie Soucek from Capitol Ceramics.
