Soy Scented Candles: Superior Scented Candles

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

A home decor item, aromatherapy or just to help you unwind, scented candles are a growing feature of our everyday lives. I see this more than most as I own a scented candle company and can track the growing trend in sales. I guess a lot has to do with our homes. we all generate cooking smells, pet odours and some even have tobacco odours to contend with. A quality scented candle can help make the places we live a more pleasant, relaxing and fun place to be.

The range of fragrances available today is baffling. This choice however is a very personal. For instance I love Vanilla scents, my wife can’t stand them. We both love fruit scents such as Lime Cooler and Fruit Cocktail. Some prefermore unusual candle scents. These are also becoming very popular such as baby powder, fresh coffee and even tomato!

More exotic scented candles are becoming more and more popular. These include fresh coffee, fresh bread and cinnamon scents. The unusual is also making inroads. scents like tomato vine and green tea & lemon-grass now have a definite following. Of particular note are the candles produced with gimmick fragrances. White castle recently launched a hamburger scented candle. Has the world gone mad!

Using Outdoor Shades With Mist Systems To Cool Your Garden And Backyard

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Those of us living in the continental United States will experience at least a few days of hot, uncomfortable and humid summers. Only those lucky enough to live in Alaska, or in the sunny, mild state of Hawaii, are able to avoid the extreme swing in temperature.

For the duration of the most sweltering days, many will find it impossible to spend time on the patio or in the backyard for any appreciable time. Children may be in danger of heatstroke. Those seeking to exercise in the open air may find it hard to stay out for long. And people who have energetic and active pets can’t take the pets for much time.

Horticultural hobbyists may find that the intense rays of the sun kills off their beautiful flowers and plants. Although plants require light to grow, they will wilt when exposed to temperatures that are too high. Sometimes the wilting is just a short-term phenomenon as the plant bounces back during the evening when it gets cooler. Other times the wilting and damage is irreversible.

Walls: The colors of nature are abundant in Tuscan interiors such as warm browns and tans, mossy greens, sunny yellows, and vivid blue accents. The walls in a Tuscan home are commonly textured and painted in subtle colors. Copy this look with faux painting techniques or special paints that mimic the look of Venetian plaster. Selecting Your Own Outdoor Lighting Fixtures Pertaining To Safety And Aesthetic Beauty

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Unless you live in a high rise apartment building, you may have to put some thought into exterior home lighting. Many of the retirement communities and gated communities have lighting plans already laid out so you don’t have to concern yourself with it, but sometimes this is not true. Every home has various lighting needs.

Security is always an issue when it comes to outdoor lights, but it is also nice if you can get it to accent the highlights of your landscape. You don’t want to just go out and set up some lights without any forethought. Chances are you may need more lights for your home outside than just a regular porch light.

When it comes to aesthetics, your exterior home lights is going to be up to you. Saving Cash Using Freestanding Garden Awning Shades

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Most people conceive of an awning for home as a metal frame holding open a stretched shade fabric. Some awnings have fixed frames and others are retractable. Usually they are placed over a window or door to shade not only against incoming sun, but also the area immediately adjacent. Modern variants may have remote controls that allow opening and closing with needing to adjust anything manually.

Despite the conveniences offered, many homeowners are reluctant to install traditional awnings due to the costs. The structure itself is quite expensive, and the installation even more so given the complexity and size of the product. A very modest home awning can cost thousands of dollars. Worse still, the shade fabric will require regular cleaning as it’s a repository for microorganisms and dirt. This is complicated by the inaccessibility of the top of the fabric.

Another problem is the dilemma faced by a homeowner when he or she needs to entertain children or guests somewhere further from the immediate vicinity of a wall, for example at the barbeque grill, near the pool, or in the middle of the lawn. The fixed outdoor shades can’t be moved around in any way.
