Many people are fond of using paper lanterns to enhance wedding receptions and outdoor parties. You don’t need to spend a large amount of cash just to improve your decorative lighting for a few annual occasions.

Children Love Paper Lanterns

We all want our homes and gardens to be wonderfully decorated and to have great light sources. We can choose the color, the shape, and the type of paper in accordance with how much light we want to have. We can choose between two forms of lighting: electric with light bulbs or LEDs, or burning candles. We can also choose them according to where there is a suitable location for placement, hanging them out on the porch or putting them right on the floor as decorations.

After much consideration in order to choose the right paper lanterns, most of us will select hanging lanterns with bulbs or LEDs, as they are much safer for our children.

It is common for many kids to have a light on in their room because they are afraid of the dark. That’s why paper lanterns and children are very good friends. These lanterns shine with a very subtle light, allowing children to go to sleep readily during the night.

The best spot where you can place the paper lantern is somewhere up high, so the child won’t be able to reach it, thus keeping him safe from harm. Of course, he has to know about the necessary safety measures, in case he accidentally breaks the light bulb or if the paper is no longer attached to the lamp.

When it comes to your next birthday party, think outside the box. Having friends and family gather for a nice, formal dinner at a restaurant of your choosing is a good time, but never truly captures the spirit that many people are looking for when it comes to a birthday. Other people like to try and organize friends and family to come gather at their home, but entertaining at your apartment or in your house can be more stressful than you want. Worrying about people making a mess or spilling a drink on your new rug, and having to clean up at the end of the night after everybody has left can ruin what is designed to be a night for you to relax and enjoy the company of the people you love most.

The best way to celebrate any kind of occasion is with an outdoor fiesta. You’ll need to get Mother Nature’s permission, and that’s not often forthcoming. For the times when she won’t agree, an outdoor instant shelter is the perfect solution. These durable structures provide protection against the elements, rain or shine.

There are a couple of ways to throw a successful daytime birthday party.

Outdoor Instant Shelters and the Perfect Beach Day

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

It’s difficult to say why the memories of summer stand out so prominently in the mind. The extra dose of sunshine and heat seems to awaken the inner child in all of us, drawing us to the beach and the inviting ocean. Whatever it is, there’s nothing like spending a day at the beach with great friends and family.

As we’ve all learned over time, overexposure to the sun can also have its drawbacks. Besides the fatigue that will set in from the heat, the potent UV rays can prove harmful to the skin. Sometimes a trip to the beach can turn out to be a real disappointment, like when the weather turns foul and sends everybody home in a bad mood.

The only way to make the most of your beach days is to prepare for both the best and the worst of times. That means hoping for a beautiful day with no threat of rain, but having a secondary plan in case ominous clouds appear on the horizon. Taking along a marquee is an excellent way to cover both ends of the spectrum.

Villa Doria Pamphili is Rome’s largest public landscaped park, with an area of about two square kilometers. Originally owned by the Doria Pamphili family it’s named after, this part was purchased by the City of Rome in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

It’s a beautiful area that’s known as one of the city’s best bird watching sites and a great place for a walk or jog.

It’s been around for a long time as a villa – before the 1630s, it was known as the Villa Veccia. Then it was purchased by Panfilo Panfili, who also purchased the neighboring vineyards.

This created an enormous holding that stood on high ground above the rest of Rome. It was known for its amazing views, and acted as a suburban resort for its owner and his family.

A new villa was begun in 1644 on the site by the then Pope’s nephew. Work on it progressed until 1652, with design elements used to complement both the site’s ancient sculptures and its contemporary decor and artworks.
