There Are Several Alternative Septic Tank Systems Available To Meet Your Needs
Thursday, March 18th, 2010It’s best to consult a contractor in order to determine what sort of alternative septic tank system you need. Ronnie Thomas, owner of SeptiClean Septic And Sewage Removal, is licensed and experienced in all areas of acquisition, design, site development, consultation and construction of septic system projects. And before you can decide what kind of alternative septic tank system you need to install there are some things you need to take into consideration.
The soil – The best type of soil for a standard septic system is loose soil that drains well that will allow the effluent to pass through as it filters out bacteria and solids. If you have clay type soil or soil that has been compacted then alternative systems may be necessary such as a pump system that will control the flow of the effluent and allow it time to be absorbed.
Another alternative would be a mound system that is constructed on top of the soil. The mound is created of sand and it’s size depends on the size of your septic system and the depth of non-porous soil under the mounds and this system is also operated by a pump.
